I wrote a whole story about our trip to the opera, and when I saved and published it, it only kept the title. Ppppttttttthhhhhhh! So there!
So, we went to the opera. Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”. If you don’t know anything about opera, Mozart wrote this one for the masses rather than the aristocracy for whom most opera was written. It’s goofy and fun, with crazy characters and a campy ending.
Long story short, three generations; Dad, me and B, all dressed up. B wore a suit. So cute. Hey, that rhymes! He recognised a song from the opera (one of my faves, sung by the Queen of the Night), he fell asleep, but would wake up to clap. Too funny. Three hours-a bit long for a kid. Next year, “The Mikado”. Lasts about and hour and a half.
I wanna go!!
B. is a kid who needs his sleep, for sure. “That’s what I need!”
